Safe Future

The Safe Future Program is a system-wide program that collaborates with the Welfare Department, the City Recreational Association, and Hadera Development Fund. The goal is to provide tools, knowledge, and skills to youth at risk, to prepare them for employment environment and to train them to reach financial independence and career development. The program is intended for youth at risk, ages 14-18, consists of 100 teenagers of seven social groups operating throughout the city. The youth undergo a process of team building, empowerment, preparation for work environment, vocational training and employment experience, enabling to identify and discover personal strengths and occupational abilities. The uniqueness of the program is the combination of group and personal empowerment, with in-depth look at the progress and development of each participant’s dream job. Some employment initiatives were developed by the youth itself. This project is tremendously successful and operates both in the municipal and private frameworks.

The “Safe Future” program is funded by the Fund for Children and Youth at Risk, the National Insurance Institute and the Hadera Municipality.
