A community Garden is a community meeting place that empowers and strengthens the ties between the members of the community. The garden is a means of improving the neighborhoods and urban ecology, it empowers the local residents and creates a new space for which they develop strong ties to.
In the city of Hadera, there are three neighborhood community gardens: Alon Gardens, Pe’er, and Beit Eliezer. These gardens are centers of attraction for the general population. It offers a variety of leisure and therapeutic activities.
The activities are held throughout the day for a wide range of potential target audiences: children, youth, adults and the elderly. It holds a record number of activities for the communities and by the communities.
